SPIDER VEINS

First you have to identify between Varicose Veins and spider veins.
Varicose veins are large, raised, swollen blood vessels that twist and turn. They usually develop in the legs and can be seen through the skin. Spider veins are smaller, red, purple, and blue vessels that also twist and turn. Spider veins are easily visible through the skin, as well. They are typically visible on the legs and face

TIPS FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING SPIDER VEINS

BY LAURA SMITH M.D.

01. BE CONSISTENT WITH YOUR TREATMENT

Light therapy works only if you do. Use one our light therapy devices to treat the effected area, follow the instructions, and most important be consistent. Great results takes time. Make it a ritual, add a reminder to your phone, and use it while doing something you love.

 02. WEARING COMPRESSION STOCKINGS

If spider veins or varicose veins are a concern or run in the family, considering using compression stockings or socks.

03. WEAR SUNSCREEN

Applying sunscreen every day can help prevent some spider veins, particularly on the face. Use sun-protective hats and clothing when outdoors for extended periods.

04. AVOIDING TIGHT CLOTHING

Clothing that is too tight around the waist, legs, or pelvis can restrict blood flow and may increase the risk of spider veins.

05. STAYING MOBILE

Avoid sitting or standing for extended periods without taking a break. Get up and walk around every 30 minutes.

06.  HEALTY WEIGHT

This helps reduce pressure on the veins and keeps blood flowing well.
